What's The Point?

What's The Point?

The other day, I went to visit my grandma. We were having a nice time when she cut me off mid-conversation to point out the number of times I repeated the phrase "Quel est l'intérêt?". Which stands for "What's the point?" in French.

She was so amused that she kept saying it back to me ever since, as an inside joke.

I went home that day wondering why I used the phrase so much. And it got me thinking of something we often forget in the daily rush of life: Living intentionally.

I came to the conclusion that we'd all be a bit happier if we just stopped, once in a while, to think about why we hang out with the people we hang out with, why we're in the relationships we're in, why we do the things we do on a daily basis.

For the bravest among us, we can even dare to wonder whether we're pursuing the right career, or if we're on the right path to becoming the person we want to be...

These questions might seem simple. But one day, we wake up wondering how we never noticed that things in our lives didn't feel right...

It's all about asking the question regularly. It's all about finding the point in everything we do. Because eventually, we might muster up the courage to admit the tough answers, and start fresh.
